Allied Westminster recruitment opportunities

 

Allied Westminster is a market leader in Village Hall (3rd Sector) insurance, the largest provider in this niche, with thousands of clients across the UK.

As a result of both expansion and a long-term staff member having retired, we are looking for an experienced customer facing Account Handler. This is a permanent role based at our Head Office in Boston Spa by Wetherby, West Yorkshire. 

This is a great opportunity for a good communicator with attention to detail who has gained at least 3-5 years Commercial Insurance experience, especially with claims, sales and/or underwriting. Those with the Cert CII qualification or experience in charity sector insurance would be at an advantage, although this is not essential.

You should be able to demonstrate a good grounding and knowledge dealing with commercial insurance products, possessing a confident, pleasant telephone manner and be able to work with clients at all levels. You would be welcomed by, and working within a team of friendly, professional staff who have a range of 2 to over 20 years of service, with majority having over 10 years of service.

Salary on offer is £19-30k depending on skills and experience, however the salary on offer can go higher for exceptional people with depth of experience. Salary reviews are also undertaken every year and we reward staff who have exceeded our expectations, including annual bonuses.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:45am-5:15pm, and 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, 10 Saturdays per annum on a rota basis. 

This role will involve the following: -

  • Handling Renewals, New Business and Mid Term Adjustments
  • Quotations 
  • Dealing with customer queries and claims 
  • Client Liaison by phone/email/letters
